Vic Chen is from Morgantown, West Virginia. Some of his hobbies include hiking, playing tennis, and trying new foods. Vic’s goal in cofounding the AAAJ is to spread awareness of Asian American culture in Appalachia, as well as fostering a community among Asian youth in the region.

Ethan Liu is from Morgantown, West Virginia, where he was born and raised. He enjoys history, playing Fallout: New Vegas, and listening to music. He co-founded AAAJ to promote Asian-American history both within and outside of Appalachia and raise awareness for Asian-American issues.

Daniel Han lives in West Lafayette, Indiana, where he attends Purdue University majoring in Integrated Business and Engineering. With an interest in music, film, food, and more, he’s excited to highlight Asian-American culture throughout the Appalachian region with the AAAJ.

Mary Nguyen is from Bridgeport, West Virginia. She was born in Chemnitz, Germany and moved to the U.S. when she was 11 years old. Her hobbies include tennis, reading, and art. Her
goal working with the AAAJ is to build an inclusive environment for Asian students in
Appalachia and spread the organization throughout the region.

Ryan Chen is from Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born in the city of New York before moving to Parkersburg, WV and later Morgantown in middle school. His hobbies consist of airsoft, doodling, and ping pong. Ryan’s goal at the AAAJ is to help foster a healthier staff and community relationship, acting as a bridge between the readers and the journalists.
